Description
About the project
In Jardin G., the Bloemekenswijk in Ghent is given a new meaning. Past, present and future come together in a project that combines living, working and living.
The result is eight terraced houses and 41 apartments, which together with four studios form a single concept. The centrally located new neighborhood park is literally and figuratively the connecting factor between the different units.
The Bloemekenswijk is an authentic city district with a rich industrial past. The Connecting Canal, the textile industry and Jozef Guislain left their mark. As a contemporary residential project, Jardin G. maintains a conscious link with that threefold basis, but at the same time looks to the future. Colors and textures are recognizable and therefore feel familiar.
In the park garden, in the studios, in the use of red brick, different periods of time meet. In this way, contemporary architecture creates a dynamic balance between greenery, living, working and living.
