The museum of contemporary art was opened by Foundation Louis Vuitton in the Bois de Boulogne in Paris. It was designed by Frank Gehry, the master of modern architecture and the founder of deconstruction. The building is as a "cloud", where 11 exhibition halls and multiple audiences are "packaged". Bernard Arnault, France's richest man and the owner of the Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy (LVMH), spent €140 million the construction of the museum.
It will be exhibited collection of fund and Bernard Arnault's personal collection of contemporary art of the XX and XXI centuries, including works by Pablo Picasso, Henry Moore, Andy Warhol and others. The museum was built for 13 years. Architect Frank Gehry has prepared around 60 different sketches of the building for this time.
Plot with the museum in the Bois de Boulogne was given the fund to rent for 55 years. Thereafter the building will be owned by the Paris authorities.
There are several terraces with panoramic views of the capital city of France.
