86% of Parisians complain about the noise, and the city authorities intend to overcome this problem in 2015-2020. Paris should return a status of "city of light", not "city of noise". The causes of the problem are car horns, garbage trucks and ambulance sirens, according to The Local.

It is planned to reduce the noise pollution of the French capital through new rules (speed reduction in residential areas by 30 km/h, limits for trucks), an anti-noise coating on the ring road (noise will be three decibels less, which is equivalent to a 50% traffic reduction) and an information campaign (drivers should be more calm!).
Despite the noise and dust, the capital of France still attracts tourists and wealthy investors. Real estate in Paris is one of the most expensive in Europe (on average €7,850 per sq.m).
