In virtue of the conflict in Syria, real estate agents now have foreign clients looking to invest in real estate of Paris, reports ee24.com citing French media. Clients from Syria, Lebanon and the Gulf states are guided by pragmatic considerations. They want to avoid instability in their countries and to sure their future in case of change for the worse.
"This trend was revealed in April," said Charles-Marie Jottras, chairman of real estate agency Daniel Féau. He argues that there were dozens of objects sold during last four or five months: "There are not only citizens of Syria among our clients, actually the majority of our customers come from Lebanon. They say they can't leave their wives and children in danger".
A year ago, the wealthy Frenchmen frightened of the new socialist government's fiscal policy. Agents of prestigious real estate could see the brunt of recession on the market. They had a lot of properties for sale, but there were no buyers.
