Turkey will ease the issuance of work permits

The Ministry of Economy is developing new rules that could make obtaining of work permits in Turkey easier for foreigners. Specialists with a good education or the necessary skills will undergo the process faster, and possibly at the same time will be able to apply for residency, according to ee24.com citing hurriyetdailynews.com.

In order to attract workers into the necessary spheres of employment, the state will review the visa and labor policies. The Ministry is studying various options that will be approved after consultation with the concerned departments. For example, foreign investors will be able to get a permanent work permit, which is at the same time will be considered as a residence permit. Besides wishing to engage in mounting, construction and repair jobs will get multiple-entry instead of one-entry visas.

According to the Ministry of Labour, from 2009 to 2013, the work permits were requested by 100 thousand foreigners and were obtained by 64.3 thousand of them.

Buying property in Turkey even now gives the possibility of obtaining a residence permit, and the amount of the transaction does not matter, reminds portal ee24.com. However, such a residence permit does not give a right to work in Turkey.
