Turkey: adopted a new anti-alcohol law

Tourists on holiday in Turkey will not buy and drink alcohol in public places, located near the mosque. The Turkish parliament approved a new anti-alcohol bill that tighten rules turnover of alcoholic beverages.

The law contains an exception that allows tourists to relax free. In particular, the bars that already have a license to sell alcohol and are in tourist areas and special exhibitions will be able to sell alcoholic beverages. However, the yield on the street with a bottle outside of the premises would be punishable by a fine.

The new law prohibits the advertising, sale and consumption of alcohol in bars, shops, cafes, located near mosques, schools and petrol stations, and requires manufacturers to post warning labels about the dangers of alcohol.
