The most active buyers of real estate in Turkey are Germans, said the Turkish Minister of Interior Muammer Güler. Overall, in 2012, 39,185 foreigners were allowed to work inTurkey, and 52,538 – to residence, reports portal Daily News.
Over the past 10 years, the most numerous immigrants in Turkey were Bulgarians (44,000), Azerbaijanis (15,500), Russians (7,500), Cypriots (6,700), Afghans (6,300) and Syrians (3,700). According to official figures, over the last decade about 124,000 foreigners acquired Turkish citizenship, while 3.5 million Turkish citizens lost their citizenship.
