Real estate market in Turkey remains one of Europe's leading in terms of rising prices. In January 2014 new houses and apartments went up in price by 13.55 % compared with the same month of previous year, and by 0.49% compared with December 2013, reports ee24.com citing balkans.com.
The home price index, which takes into account the price fluctuations of single-family houses, increased over the year by 14.36%. The lowest increase was recorded in Antalya (+5.85%), and the highest one - in Istanbul (+18.59%).
Recall that the average cost of property in Antalya is about €500 per sq.m, while in Istanbul - twice as large. After the first three quarters of 2013, Turkey has become one of the top gainers among the European countries, and Istanbul - among the European cities.
