Housing prices in Sweden go up

The average cost of one-dwelling and two-dwelling buildings increased by 1% in the Q3 2013 compared to the Q2 2013 and by 3% y/y, amounting to €239 thousand, according to ee24.com citing Statistics Sweden.

In the capital cities and their surroundings this cost amounts to: €318,5 thousand in Malmö, €356 thousand in Gothenburg and €455 thousand in Stockholm. Besides those regions, the most expensive real estate in Sweden is located in the south-western province of Halland (located between Gothenburg and Malmö, the capital is the city of Halmstad) - €287,5 thousand for the house, and Uppsala (not far from Stockholm ) - €260 thousand.

Price for a house is lower in the center of the country, in the coastal province of Västernorrland, far north from Stockholm (€119,5K), as well as in the northern province of Norrbotten (€128K).
