Average price of residential real estate in the country reached €1219 per sq.m and became the minimum for the last 5 years, according to ee24.com citing friedlnews.com.
As in many other European countries, the global financial and economic crisis has seriously affected the real estate market. In Slovakia, from 2008 to the present time, housing prices fell by 20%.
In the third quarter of this year, real estate in Slovakia continued to fall in price - by 1.6% year on year and by 0.8% compared with the previous period. However, according to experts, the good economic figures of the country will lead to the emergence of positive trends in the property market in 2015.
Prices for apartments in Bratislava (pop. is about half a million) are at a higher level than in other cities, and on average amount to €1550 per sq.m.
