A square meter of housing in Slovakia has become by €5 cheaper

In the fourth quarter of 2013 property in Slovakia fell in price by €5, to €1,215 per square meter. The decline amounted to 0.4 % to the previous quarter and 2.6 % year over year, according to ee24.com citing realexpert.sk.

The situation in real estate market in Slovakia can be characterized as stagnation with a tendency to cheapening. From quarter to quarter property becomes cheaper almost imperceptibly for buyers, however since a year 2010 the total drop amounted to €82 per sq.m.

In Q4 2013, a square meter in five-room apartments (-€35) and in one-room apartments (-€19) cheapened the most. Now one may buy a house in Slovakia by €5 cheaper, and a  spacious villa - by €11 more expensive (per sq.m) than in previous quarter.
