Romania: apartments in the capital became cheaper

The owners and developers of apartments in Bucharest for the last year have reduced prices by 3.9%. The average price in Bucharest in May 2013 amounted to €1,096 per sq.m., €44 less than last year. Apartments, which entered into service before 1990, fell by 0.8% in May 2013 to €1030 per sq.m. Apartments in new houses have lost in value 0,6% (€1,215 per sq.m.), according to the portal Business Review.

In April 2013 the price of city apartments in Romania amounted to €935 per sq.m., informs portal immobiliare.ro. Hardest-year prices have fallen in Constanta and Ploiesti. In May 2013 the drop was 4.2%. The average cost of housing in Constanta now is €868 per sq.m., and in Ploiesti - €801 per sq.m. Prices also declined in Brasov (-1,8%, €833) and Timisoara (-1%, €786), while in Cluj-Napoca was a slight increase in housing prices (+0,3%, €940).
