Average property price in Norway amounts €230 thousand

In Q2 2014 a number of property sales in Norway has reached 45,643 totaling €10.5 bn or  €230 thousand per transaction, reports ee24.com citing the Statistics Norway. The number of sold objects, and the amount spent on them have increased by 1% y-o-y.

31,575 dwellings were sold in Q2, including 22,368 of them on the free market. The average price was €376 thousand, and in Oslo - €522 thousand. Detached houses, row houses and townhouses (8,564, 1,770, 1,743) were more popular than apartments (7801). 

Number of transactions with holiday homes on the free market increased by 5% to 2,755. Such cottages in Norway were worth an average €187 thousand: €194 thousand for homes on private land and €158 thousand for homes on leased land.
