About the project
The former sites of Nedcoat and Air Products in the former Buiksloterham port area are being sustainably developed through the innovative urban, landscape and social development strategy 'Cityplot' that Studioninedots has developed in recent years. The monofunctional industrial zone is being transformed into a vibrant new part of the city with room for experimentation. A total of approximately 500 homes and 10,000 m2 of work space will be built in the area, including catering.
In Buiksloterham, Cityplot was seized upon as a development method by client De Alliantie and developed in a partnership between Studioninedots and DELVA Landscape Architects/Urbanism. The common goal is a city that is open to diversity. The openness makes this a place for innovation and exploration. Cityplot is an open and inclusive part of the city in which diversity, locality, collectivity, adaptivity and circularity are inextricably linked.
Buiksloterham&CO consists of three sub-areas of which Plot C is being developed by Synchroon: Tolhuiskade. The residential program consists of approximately 160 owner-occupied and rental homes, an office of approximately 5,000 m2 and an above-ground parking garage.
