The former head of the company Inteco and the richest woman in Russia, Yelena Baturina, who owns The Morrison Hotel in Dublin, plans to acquire another hotel in the capital of Ireland, reports ee24.ru citing independent.ie.
Baturina already owns several hotels in Europe and she's willing to expand its presence in the hospitality industry. Now business woman owned businesses in Russia (hotel New Peterhof in St. Petersburg), as well as in Austria (Grand Tirolia Golf & Ski Resort in Kitzbühel), the Czech Republic (Quisisana in Karlovy Vary) and Ireland. As was acknowledged by Baturina, to the end of 2015 the chain may be extended to 14 hotels.
"I believe that the Irish market is becoming more and more attractive. Houseing prices in Ireland are growing, commercial premises are also becoming more expensive. The market has potential and it's still interesting to me," said Baturina to newspaper Sunday Independent.
It seems that one more hotel owned by Baturina will operate in Ireland. The first of them - Morrison - was purchased by here in 2012 for €20 million. In the near future a five-star hotel Westin will be put up for sale in Dublin with the starting price of €60 million. It's reported that Yelena has shown interest in this proposal.
