In June, the difference between the price of housing in Helsinki and in the rest of the country has increased. Statistics Finland argues that real estate in the capital becomes more expensive, while property in regions becomes is cheaper, reports to ee24.com.
In the second quarter apartments in Helsinki went up by 1.6%, and in the Finnish regions housing fell in prices by 1.9%. In the whole country a deflation was 0.3% yoy. In April-June housing in Greater Helsinki was worth €3,634 per sq.m, in other cities - €1,691 per sq.m.
The above data relate only to the secondary market, while the situation on the primary one is reversed: in Helsinki, prices for new housing fell by 1.1%, and beyond they rose by 2.9%. Now one can afford housing from the developer in Helsinki for an average for €4,466 per sq.m, in other cities - for €3,053 per sq.m.
