Helsinki will follow suit of other European capitals, and in the spring of 2014 the construction of eight skyscrapers priced at €1 billion will be started, according ee24.com citing helsinki.ru. The height of the tallest building will be only 126 meters, which is tall enough considering flat cityscape.
The construction site is located in Kalasatama, to the north- east of the centre of the Finnish capital. Unlike similar projects in other cities, it is not about creating a business center, but about the construction of a residential neighborhood. Allegedly, in good weather from the upper floors it will be possible to see Tallinn, located 80 km to the south. In addition to high-rise buildings, a large shopping centre will be built there.
Mall is expected to be opened in three years, but the final completion of the construction of skyscrapers is planned for a year 2022.
