Prices of land in Helsinki is 8 times higher than in regions

In 2012, the prices of land in the Helsinki region were 8 times more than in other parts of Finland. The average value of the land under a house in the capital region was 720 euros per square meter of floor. For comparison, in other places, the figure was only 87 euros, reported the portal YLE.

According to the Statistical Center, in 2012, the most expensive lands for construction were in Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa and Kauniainen.

The price of land in the capital region of Finland increased by 108.9% in 2000s, in other regions – by 52.7%.
