Unemployment in the EU has stabilized

In August 2013 the unemployment rate in the EU was 12% and remained unchanged compared with July 2013, according to ee24.com with reference to the European statistics agency.

The least of all the unemployed is in Austria, Germany and Luxembourg - 4.9% , 5.2% and 5.8%, respectively. The worst things are in Greece and Spain, where unemployment stands at 27.9% and 26.2% of the working population in these countries.

The fastest rate of decrease of unemployment is in Latvia (from 15.6 % to 11.4 %) and Estonia (from 10.1 % to 7.9 %). The most rapid growth in the number of unemployed is observed in Cyprus (from 12.3 % to 16.9 %) and Greece (from 24.6 % to 27.9 %).

It is noted that countries that do not have problems with employment, enjoy the rise in prices for housing, while in countries with high unemployment, the cost of housing has been steadily declining.
