Russian Railways: more trains to Europe

Since December direct passenger rail service of Russia with a number of European countries is resumed: in particular, with Bulgaria, Serbia, Hungary, the Czech Republic, and since the summer of 2016 - with Montenegro.

First thro Moscow-Sofia train will depart from Moscow on December 13 as a part of the train № 9/10 Moscow - Warsaw "Polonaise". From Sofia – on December 16. Stopovers: Smolensk, Minsk, Brest, Warsaw, Bohumin, Bratislava and Belgrade (Serbia).

The direction "Moscow - Budapest" will also be opened from the 13th of December. Since December 16, direct running of the train Moscow - Karlovy Vary - Cheb is resumed (as a part of the train № 21/22 Moscow - Prague "Vltava"). In addition, the frequency of train Moscow - Prague increased up to 2 times a week.

Еhe rolling stock will be changed as well: for the resumed routes are bought modern RIC-type compartment wagons with wide beds, outlets, folding table and sink, as well as individual air conditioning compartment. Each wagon will have two sanitary rooms, one of which - with a shower.


In addition, from January 15, 2016 will be reduced the cost of tickets for the directions "Moscow-Nice", "Moscow-Paris" and "Moscow-Prague": 14.8%, 13.7% and 12.5%, respectively.
