Consulting company Henley & Partners has published a global index of visa restrictions. It turned out that most "free" people live in Europe. Finns, Swedes and Britons can visit 173 countries without a visa, while Russians - only 95 countries, according to ee24.com citing henleyglobal.com.

Most of democratic countries seek to make movement around the world easier for its citizens. Usually agreements on visa-free entry are made by two or more countries on an equal footing.

Citizens of Finland, Sweden and the UK have the right to visa-free entry into 173 countries, residents of Denmark, Germany and Luxembourg - into 172, Belgium, Italy and the Netherlands - into 171, Canada, France, Ireland, Japan, Norway, Portugal and Spain - into 170, Austria, New Zealand and Switzerland - into 168.

Over the past few years the number of countries with visa-free entry to Russians has increased to 95. Among inhabitants of BRICS only Brazilians have more opportunities (visa-free entry to 146 countries).
