About the project
The intention of the project was to integrate the new house into the existing development context. The morphology of the house thus corresponds to modern architectural trends and at the same time respects the atmosphere of this part of the city. We try to compensate for the lack of greenery in dense urban areas with green roofs and other greenery in the courtyard.
The house is designed as a seven-storey basement for parking. The last floor covers only a part of the overall floor plan and gives rise to exceptional duplex apartments oriented to the corner of Leitnerova - Křídlovická streets. The ground floor units then have terraces situated in a quiet courtyard. A total of 45 units and one commercial on the ground floor are designed in this building.
The house is located in the cadastral area of Old Brno. This location is characterized not only by excellent transport accessibility and above-standard civic amenities, but also by a unique genius loci. In the immediate vicinity is a primary and kindergarten, hockey and figure skating hall, many shops and a bike path by the river Svratka.
