Property prices in the Czech Republic continue to decline

According to real estate portal Homeoverseas.ru citing internet source of Global Property Guide, property prices in the Czech Republic continued to decline for the past 4 years.

In 2011 the asking price for apartments in the Czech Republic fell by 5,2%, while in the fourth quarter of 2011 apartments in the average fell 0.9%. According to analysts the further reduce of the average cost of housing in the Czech Republic is expected by 4% in 2012. The number of real estate transactions in 2011 was 20% lower compared to the peak in 2008.

Based on the data of the leading real estate portal of the Czech Republic, the average price of apartments in the Czech Republic is now 69 478 euros. The average cost of housing in the prestigious district of Prague 2 is – 194 445 euros, followed by the District of Prague 1, where the average price per apartment is 177 095 euros.
