Description

About the project

In the coming years, the Coronmeuse site in Liège will be transformed into the largest eco-district in our country, including 1,325 residential units. The sale of the first 106 apartments and homes around the future marina will start today. Willemen Groep, together with CIT Blaton and Jan De Nul, has started the construction of Rives Ardentes, a new sustainable district of 25 hectares along the banks of the Meuse with homes, shops, catering, offices and a residential care center. In total, 1,325 low-energy and passive residential units (apartments, single-family homes, cohousing units and kangaroo homes) will be built in this 'residential area of the future'. During the first phase of the works, twenty shops will also be set up, including several catering establishments. Rives Ardentes will be a completely car-free and green district: 80 percent of the available space will be converted into parks, public space, gardens and waterways. The number of trees on the site will double from 500 to 1,000 and the Astrid Park will also be expanded. At the Coronmeusedok there will be a marina with 80 boats and a beautiful promenade. In the 30,000 m² underground car park, a significant part of the spaces is intended for electric vehicles and shared cars. The center of Liège can be reached in a few minutes by public transport and by boat.
