Description
About the project
The sheds of the former Jack-Op brewery in Werchter will be given a new purpose. We are realizing the new residential area 'Brouwmeester' there.
The offer
The new-build project comprises 46 modern apartments, two homes and a commercial space around a large public courtyard. Construction of the first building, 'Mout', will start in the autumn of 2021. We expect to receive the first residents at the end of 2023. The other two buildings were christened 'Hop' and 'Barley', and will be erected following 'Mout'.
Modern architecture
The project comes from the drawing board of architectural firm Archipelago. The architects deliberately opted for modern architecture that still retains a certain industrial look. In addition, the facade in the Beverlaak will also be preserved, so that the project is a nod to the past. In this way, the center of Werchter retains its individuality.
BEN project
It has also been decided to build the Almost Energy Neutral (BEN) residences. For example, heat pumps and solar panels are provided, as are underfloor heating, thermally insulating glazing and a high-quality ventilation system. All this makes living in Brouwmeester extremely energy efficient.
