Albania announces tax-free economic zone in coastal city of Durres. The 22-hectare economic zone will cover different economic sectors with an focus on logistic services, and businesses operated in the zone will have to sign a contract to stay there for 35 years, according to globaltimes.cn.

Durres has the convenient maritime trade route to Italy and other Balkan countries. There are also acceptable properties, perhaps the cheapest on the Adriatic cosat (Montenegro and Croatia are much more expensive for investors).
The "tax haven" around Durres is believed to impact positively on the development of the entire region.
