Every foreigner, who invests in Albania, more than 100 000 euros, will be entitled to apply for Albanian citizenship.
At a meeting of the Council of Ministers of Albania, Prime Minister Sali Berisha demanded “About Citizenship” law revision. According to his point of view, the law should define conditions under which those who have invested over 100 000 euros will receive citizenship.
The law revision, according to the Prime Minister, is required to attract foreign investment. "There is desire to invest in Albania and have Albanian citizenship among foreigners", - said the prime minister.
In order to attract investments to the country, the government has already reduced taxes and simplified any buying transaction presses. These changes in combination with developing of road infrastructure, upgrading of technologies in various fields have led to positive results: increasing employment and income rates - indicators of economic growth.
