Albania has become a candidate to the EU. Britain will veto

June 24 Albania was granted the status of candidate for membership in the European Union. Britons are unhappy: if restrictions on the influx of cheap labor do not come into force, the United Kingdom will veto the accession of Albania to the EU, writes ee24.com.

EU Commissioner for Enlargement Štefan Füle congratulated Albania, saying that the country became one step closer to the European Union. Füle praised authorities of the Balkan country for successes in the fight against organized crime, but warned that major changes should be made in future. In turn, Prime Minister of Albania Edi Rama said the country "had regained its lost dignity in the eyes of international partners." Recall that since 2009 Albania has made three unsuccessful attempts to get the desired status.

The final accession of Albania to the EU may take years. British Prime Minister David Cameron said the country would veto the further enlargement of the EU, if laws against the influx of migrant workers from poor countries don't come into force.

Property in Albania with the provision of candidate status becomes more attractive and can increase in value, considering the fact that the rules of home buying and obtaining a residence permit in the country are quite simple.
