A Roman amphitheater is for sale in Switzerland

An amphitheater of the 1st century AD is put up for sale in Windisch (Canton Aargau), Switzerland. The Romans called this place Vindonissa. According to immobilier.lefigaro.fr, there is no any price in the ad, as the Windisch City Council will consider any proposed price. The main condition is that a new owner (including an individual) has to invest regularly in the restoration and maintenance. The last renovation of object was estimated at €4.8 million.

The City Council decided to sell the Vindonissa amphitheater (the oldest Roman amphitheater in the territory of modern Switzerland), as its maintenance is not among the Council's major responsibilities.

The Vindonissa amphitheater is 112 m long and 98 m wide, and it could accommodate up to 10,000 spectators.
