The typical property buyer in Madrid is a family man with higher education

Agency Vía Célere published the survey of 400 buyers of primary real estate in Madrid, reports ee24.com citing Spanish media. The survey revealed that typical buyers of primary housing in the Spanish capital were married couples of 25-45 years with higher education, who were concerned about the location of their new property.

Almost 62% of respondents are married couples of 25-45 years old. 70% of them have a university degree, 48% prefer to buy a house in the same neighborhood they lived before to stay close to their families and friends.

58% of respondents name the move from old house as the reason of buying the new one. 33% of clients buy the first house in their life. Finally, 9.5% of customers invest in real estate.

Apartments with two or four bedrooms are the most purchased (30.8%), 27,8% of buyers seek for three-bedroom apartments and 11.4% of respondents need one-bedroom flats.

80% of buyers of new apartments in Madrid use mortgage services. Sometimes customers need a loan of 100% of the total cost but it is more often they get 50-80% of the required amount.
