Spaniards are more willing to go out of big cities

In the wake of the growing popularity of so-called "agro-tourism", a survey was conducted, which revealed the most basic directions of Spanish citizens migration to the countryside.

It turned out that the most popular destination for country holiday in Spain is the complex of nine churches in the Romanesque style, which are located in the Vall de Boi (Conjunto románico del valle de Boí) in Lerida in Catalonia. This complex is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Second place in the ranking of popularity took the fortress Castillo de San Pedro, built at the end of the XVI century, located in the picturesque town of Ciudadela de Jaca in Huesca. The fortress still retains defensive bastions, the moat and classic drawbridge.

The third place went to the small island of San Juan de Gaztelugatxe in the Bay of Biscay to the north of the country. Following are the villages of the ancient Celts in Castro de Baroña in Galician La Coruna and painted caves of Cuevas de Altamira in Cantabria.
