According to notaries, in April sales and housing prices in Spain continued to rise. There were more than 30 thousand transactions, by 11.1% higher than last year's figure, and the square meter went for €1,216, growing by 0.7%, according to ee24.com.
New information on credits, on the contrary, is not encouraging. Spaniards and foreigners received 22.9 thousand loans (-12.1%) with an average size of €130.7 thousand (-4%), and if we count only housing then the average size was €107.5 thousand (-4.4%).
Recall that in the first quarter the General Council of Notaries noted an impressive growth in sales (+45.4%) and in mortgage loans (+48.3% by number and +8.5% by the average size), as well as a slight increase in price per square meter of housing in Spain (+1.6%).
