Spain hits record of number of tourists

Foreigners not only actively buy property in Spain, having a 20 percent share on the market, but also visit the country for rest. During the first half of the year Spain was visited by 28 million tourists, which is 7.3% higher than a year earlier, according to ee24.com citing spanishpropertyinsight.com. 

In June, the warm Spanish coast has attracted 6.6 million visitors from abroad, most of them came from England (1.7 million), Germany (1.1 million) and France (0.8 million). Russians were only in the seventh place (222 thousand).

Most often, the above tourists were staying on the Balearic Islands and in Catalonia (1.7 million each), as well as in Andalusia (0.9 million), on the Canary Islands (0.8 million) and in Valencia (0.6 million).
