Renting in Spain has become cheaper by a third

Rents for apartments in Spain fell by a third during the time that has elapsed since the crisis began. Apartment with area of 80 sq.m was worth €810, and now – €541 per month, according to ee24.com citing Spanish Property Insight.

Crisis affected the rental market in Aragon (-42.2%) as well as in Valencia and Cantabria (almost -38% in both) the most significantly. Fall in prices in Castile and Leon has not exceeded even 16%, which makes this autonomous community the most stable region.

Falling real estate prices in Spain approximately corresponds to the dynamics of the falling rental prices. Dwellings in Spain continue to become cheaper, and prices will hardly stabilize to the end of the year.
