Property sales in Spain fell by 11.3%

In 2012, the number of transactions in the property market in Spainhas decreased by 11.3% compared to 2011. In total, there were about 320,000 transactions, reports portal Kyero. Sales of primary housing decreased by 9.3%, while sales of the second - by 13.2%.

Property sales in Spain fell for the second year in a row. According to the National Institute of Statistics, in 2011 the number of transactions decreased by 17.7%. In 2010, the growth in the number of transactions was 6.8%. The worst years were 2008 (-28.6%) and 2009 (-24.9%). By comparison, about 1 million transactions were issued during the peak in 2006.
