The famous "Barcelona" and Argentina football player Lionel Messi continues to expand his Spanish possessions. This time, the virtuoso striker bought a house in the prestigious Gava Mar in Barcelona, reports ee24.com citing diariogol.com.

According to some reports, this mansion will belong to Messi's parents.  The best footballer in the world bought the house on the second line of the sea coast for around €3-3.5 million. Experts say that only the plot of land under the new home costs about €1 million, the same money as a house in Pedralbes, the most expensive area of Barcelona, where Messi also has the real estate.

Gava Mar is located on the Mediterranean coast and is very popular with wealthy people from different countries, including Russia.

Not far from the new home of Argentine football player lives his compatriot and team-mate Javier Mascherano, who paid  €1.8 million for the property. On the same street has his summer home another popular football player from Argentina, Juan Roman Riquelme, who once played for "Barcelona" and other Spanish clubs.

Apparently, Messi will present a villa on the beach in Gava Mar to his parents. We recall that coming Friday, September 27, the football player and his father will appear before court in Gava (west of Barcelona) on charges of tax evasion.

In addition to a new home in Gava Mar, Messi owns three houses in the town of Castelldefels (a suburb of the Catalonian  capital), one of which is located next door to the former home of the legendary "Barcelona" player, Ronaldinho. In addition, Messi owns the apartment in the exclusive area of Pedralbes.
