The descendants of the former Spanish leader General Francisco Franco informed the authorities of Galicia to organize trips to Paso de Meyras. This building was built in the late XIX century on the basis of the ruins of the fortress familial Patino de Bergondo, which was built in the XVI century and destroyed by the French during the war in 1809.
The residential complex was in the possession of the Order of the Jesuits and then granted in 1938 by Galician leadership to the dictator Franco, who used it as his summer residence. Today the complex is owned by the descendants of the former ruler of Spain and is the object of cultural heritage.
It is planned that the castle will be open to tourists 19, 20, 26 and 27 July in two shifts - from 11.00 to 14.00 and from 15.00 to 19.30. In August the residence will be open from 28 to 31.
