According to Kyero Spanish House Price Index, in Q1 2014 the asking price of homes in Spain increased on quarterly and annual basis, and amounted to €275,700, reports ee24.com. In the previous period the requested price was €242,200, and a year ago - €238,100. So now the owners want to gain by 15.8% more than a year earlier. It should be noticed that we are talking about prices which are asking by sellers, not about the prices of real sales.
The most expensive villas in Spain are sold in the province of Guipuzcoa, in the Basque Country. The average bid price there is €1,215,000, which is by 441% higher than the nationwide. Houses in Barcelona (178%), Mallorca (151%), Girona (135%), Menorca (129%), Pontevedra (125%) and Malaga (109%) also cost more than the country's average.
Houses in Valencia (€170,200, 62%), Seville (€143,700, 53%) and Murcia (€139,000, 50%) are less expensive than the national average. Cheap houses in Spain can be found in the province of Jaen in Andalusia (€52,500, 19%).
At the same time, according to the portal idealista.com, prices for all resale properties in Spain fell by 1.4% to the previous quarter and by 6.1% year on year, amounting to €1,709 per sq.m.
