Based on the latest government data, the average cost of per square meter of real estate in Spain is 1 565,6 euro. Such low price was fixed only in 2004. According to the portal Kyero, in the third quarter of 2012, housing fall in price by 9,5% year-on-year, although in the first and second quarter of this year it was 7,2% and 8,3%.
Remind that the highest housing prices in Spain were observed four years ago, when the price per square meter was 2 000 euro. Consequently, real estate has fallen in price by 25,5% since 2008.
The most significant price falling was fixed in the following cities:
- Extremadura - 12.2%
- In the Canary Islands - 11.7%
- Aranoge - 11.4%
- Madrid - 11.3%
- Valencia - 11.3%
- Catalonia - 11.1%
Minimal price falling were fixed in La Rioja, Asturias, the Basque Country, Navarre. In these cities the cost is not reduced by more than 5%.
