In 1Q of 2016 the level of rent in Dublin has exceeded indicators of 2007

In 1Q of 2016 the average rent for a house in Dublin was €1,454. This is 0.2% more than in 2007, before the crisis.

It should be noted that the cost of rent increases in the whole Ireland, though lately that growth has slowed. Rents for houses in Dublin increased by 0.6% and for flats by 0.4%. Outside the city, rents rose by only 0.9%. It is difficult to draw any conclusions, but the slow growth has been maintained for 2 consecutive quarters.

Compared to the same period of last year, price increase in Dublin is 8.6%. Annualized rent for apartments outside Dublin rose by 11,3%, for houses — by 7.6%. The average monthly rent for housing in the private sector of Ireland during the year rose from €849 to €922.

Now housing for rent in Ireland is 9% cheaper than in the peak period (end of 2007). The failure was in 2012, when the price reached its minimum. As for Dublin, statistics shows that the market here is recovering much faster.
