Serbian Banat region will attract investment of 3.5 million dinars

Serbian authorities have allocated the Banat region of autonomous region of Vojvodina with 3.5 million dinars (€31,700) required for the successful development of tourism infrastructure, reports ee24.com citing BalkanPro.ru.

Money was received by the three municipalities: Kovačica, Opovo and Žitište and the town of Pančevo. In Kovačica it is planned to upgrade the street and yard of tourist and business center near the Gallery of naive art. In Opovo they will build a new sports and recreation center. And in Pancevo archaeological excavations and historical research will be carried out.

These measures should enhance the tourism appeal of the county and spur activity in the local real estate market.
