Representatives of a dozen companies in Moscow expressed a desire to invest in the infrastructure development of the famous Serbian ski resort of Kopaonik. Russians are willing to spend more than €300 million on construction of hotels and recreation centers, writes portal ee24.com citing blic.rs. Investors assume that the resort will attract more than 10 thousand tourists from Russia a year.
Slobodan Vidojević, head of community of Brus in central Serbia, said that preliminary agreements on investment had been achieved in the negotiations with the representatives of Russian construction and financial companies. "Russian investors are impressed by what they saw in Kopaonik. As they told us, they are willing to invest more than €300 million in the construction of hotels, apartments, parking lots and other tourist facilities in Kopaonik."
Kopaonik resort is located in the mountains of the same name at an altitude of 1,770 meters. It is known for its blue and red slopes (i.e., for confident and experienced skiers) total lenght of 60 km.
