Apartments in Serbia are bought mainly on credit

Recent studies of real estate market in Serbia show that housing in this small Balkan country is bought mainly on credit. These days, credit conditions are much more convenient than before, and  also the availability of housing increased.

It is also noted that Belgrade and other Serbian cities have a large number of still not sold apartments, which should lead to a decrease in property prices.

The conditions for obtaining soft loans for housing remained the same. The loan amount can not exceed €100,000, and the salary of the borrower should not exceed 150 thousand Serbian dinars (€1,300).

Currently, rental rates are below the interest rates on the €100-150, which leads to the popularity of rental housing. Those who decide to purchase a property  in Serbia, still often buy apartments from 30 square meters to 60 square meters in the center of Belgrade or Vracar area.
