China Exim Bank will provide a loan of €689 million the Government of Montenegro to to build the country's first highway Bar – Boljari. Another €120m (the remaining 15% of the total amount of €809.58m, required for a major project) will be allocated from the state budget of Montenegro, the ee24.com informs citing balkaneu.com.
The main highway of Montenegro will be 170 km long and be presumably built for 4 years. It will be the most expensive highway in Europe per km, due to 40% of the road will make 42 tunnels and 92 bridges and viaducts. The first section should be constructed path is Smokovac - Uvač - Mateševo.
Such an ambitious infrastructure project would be beneficial for the investment attractiveness and the real estate market in Montenegro.
