Port of Monaco will be significantly modified

In Monaco, the work to upgrade the port is planned. Several entertaining and educational institutions will be built and three-storey underground parking for 300 cars will be organized, according to ee24.com citing rivieratimes.com.

First of all, the museum of vehicles belonging to the Prince of Monaco will be built. The building will be erected near the Darse Nord on the landing between the Olympic pool and Quai des Etats Unis.

The fence separating the pedestrian zone and the Route de la Piscine will be demolished. It's also planned to move the  Formula 1 track by three meters to the port. The amusement park will be abolished and on its site the three transformers for energy company SMEG will build, as well as the technical facilities for nearby restaurants and businesses. The work should be completed by the end of 2014.

The work will begin at the end of June 2014. The government assured that it would take all possible measures to reduce the noise level during the construction. Due to the fact that Monaco is going to held lots of diverse cultural events, the final completion of the work is scheduled only for 2019.
