The value of residential real estate in Lithuania decreased in the third quarter of 2013 by 1.8% compared with the previous quarter, according to ee24.com referring to the news agency LETA.
Lithuanian statistical agency reported that prices fell hardest on the primary housing. The new apartments in one-and two-family houses fell by 3.4% and in apartment buildings by 2.5%. The cost of apartments in the old one-and two-family houses dropped by as much as 4.7%, but apartment buildings slipped in price by only 0.4%.
In the third quarter of 2013, property prices fell by 0.4% compared with the same period last year. Cost of new buildings decreased by 10.7%. Flats in old buildings fell by 2%.
