The price index for apartments in five major cities of Lithuania, which is being issued monthly by Ober-Haus Real Estate Advisors, increased in June by 0.3%, while for the year - by 4.4%, writes ee24.com.
Since last summer, apartments went up in all five cities, but especially in Vilnius - by 7.1%. Nevertheless the Lithuanian capital market still cannot recover after falling in times of crisis: compared to the minimum prices of 2010 square meter costs only by 11.2% higher - €1,283.
Apartments in Siauliai and Panevezys also increased in prices, but not so significantly - by 3.3% and 2.7%. The cost of a "square" in these cities is comparable and is €562 and €529 respectively.
The second and the third cities in Lithuania showed less growth, but real estate there is worth more, about a thousand euros per square meter. Apartments in Kaunas went up by 0.4% (€936 per sq.m), in Klaipeda - by 1.8% (€ 979 per sq.m).
