One of the most sinister and at the same time interesting houses in Latvia was opened for visitors. Corner House, which was the main building of Latvian KGB, opened its doors, and it was visited by more than a thousand residents and visitors of the city. On the first floor there is an exposition "Go around the Corner House," which is available free of charge. By three o'clock in the first day it was visited by 800 people. Excursion called "Cellars of Cheka" gained popularity and was visited by 200 people. Five other exhibitions, including "Latvians' Suitcase" and "Museum of the things of the century", attracted interest of 300 visitors.
Martins Dregeris, a spokesman for the organizing committee of "Riga 2014", said that tickets for excursions had been sold out very quickly, and not only to people from Riga but also to tourists from other places.
