The cost of housing in the capital of Latvia during the last month increased by 0,5%, during the year by 4,5%. In the other Baltic capitals - Vilnius and Tallinn - the results in April were not so impressive.
According to The Baltic-Course analysis, the average price of apartments in Riga this year reached €980 per square meter (+0,5%). In March price level grew by 0,5% either.
Despite steady rise in prices, experts concluded that the real estate market in Riga is still not fully regained its position. In particular, the apartments in the capital of Latvia are still sold at 57,8% less than in May 2007. However, local buyers become interested in two or three room apartments of good quality.
