Imanta is a Riga district, lying on the left bank of the Daugava River, once was considered as one of the most prestigious districts in the city. Long ago, while I was still a student, I rented an apartment there, so I know the area very well. Now they finished one of the most interesting projects - "Mežaparks Pārdaugava."
Imanta is a district with the standard, "Soviet" panels of five-and nine-storey buildings. One of the first in Riga there appeared multi-storey houses made of red brick. All this is interspersed with the private sector. Excellent transport links. Several buses and the fastest in the moment representative of the public transport in Riga - the tram. In the "good old times" the area was considered to be located far from the center. No wonder, the way was as long as twenty minutes by bus.
But it was, perhaps, the only drawback. It was still good to live there. There was a lot of so-called "cooperative houses", in which the wealthy and respectable people bought the apartments. A clean, well-kept area around the houses. Lots of greenery. Lawns and trees. And the forest. The forest around the area. You could leave the house and come back in half an hour with a basket of mushrooms. The area was designed by smart people who have taken into account the development of public and private vehicles. The main streets of the district are wide and well-paved. Infrastructure. I will not talk about schools, day care centers and clinics. Times are different, but, in my opinion, the district has not changed. The traditions have remained. However, several hypermarkets have been built, and transport interchanges were arranged. An excellent road surface.
Along with the "main" streets in the area, there are other streets. One of these, stretching right to the forest - Rātsupītes iela. Here, surrounded by woods and silence, is a new residential complex "Mežaparks Pārdaugavā" on Rātsupītes iela, 3. And, in my opinion, it would be a great sin not to build it there. The ideal place for young families with children.
The project is a six-storey 88-apartment house. Two, three and four-room apartments (from 70 to 130 m) are made, indeed, for all tastes. Imagine twenty two layouts of apartments in the same house. There is a loggia or a balcony. Independent heating, elevators.
The area is fenced, round the clock video surveillance and security is maintained. There is a two-storey car park and a parking in the basement of the building. Buying a permanent place for the car will cost about €5,000. And, of course, the "little things" for tenants: comfortable benches, walking paths, playground. In short, the project is successful.
Although living in a heavenly place, you'll need to put up with some inconveniences. It's need to go to the bus stop for about fifty meters, to the nearest hypermarket - 2.5 kilometers, carry a child to school - 3 kilometers. But only two hundred meters from the race track, where you can have a look at the horses and ride them.
